It takes between 50 to 100 days to drill an average well during which the installation will be visible to neighbors and passers-by. After the drilling, the rig is fully removed from the site, the wells are placed in production mode and low profile gas processing equipment is installed. At this point, the site normally looks like a power substation. The productivity of the well will determine how long it will be operational, after which all infrastructure will be removed and the land fully restored to its former use.
