El Periódico de la Energía has published an article written by the general director of Tarba Energía, Julio Crespo Tudela, “Energy with a local vocation”, in which he analyses the energy’s impact on local territory. He applies the concept of “proximity energy” as a model for generating electricity is addressed coming from local resources.
“We call local energy the one that is produced from our own resources, locally available, and that allow the generation of electricity in the same place where the energy source is obtained. For example, with natural gas that is not imported from other countries or brought from other deposits,” explains Crespo.
He highlights the case of Andalusia and, specifically, Carmona (Seville), where the company will launch the hybridization of native natural gas with photovoltaics.
